Virtual Reality

VR in our current day is one of the best ways to bring the past to life. And what beter setting than the home of the master of lively art, the painter Rembrandt van Rijn. His live started in a 17th century town called Leiden, where he lived in the humble house of his father, a miller, close to the city wall. This project involved thorough study of historical material from the big archives of the city. Recreating a family home from this era.

In June 2017 I created a VR exposition about the castle Groot Poelgeest in the Netherlands. Using references from 1837, I managed to recreate the port house. The whole thing is made in Unreal Engine 4, using the HTC vive for the VR presentation.
